FP3D Printed Flexible Partial

FP3D Printed Flexible Partials are fully digital,gum-colored flexible partial dentures produced on Carbon’s FP3D platform. Thematerial is engineered to provide a natural flex and feather-edge comfort whilemaintaining esthetic translucency and high strength.
Because they’re printed—not injected—the fit is extremelyconsistent, the clasps adapt gently to soft tissue, and the appliance remainslightweight without the bulk of traditional acrylic or metal.
Available variations include:
- Full flexible printed partials
- Hybrid designs with reinforced areas for added stability
- Single-tooth flexible printers for quick esthetic replacements
- Digital duplicates for easy remake or patient backups

Why Derby
All-digital workflow
Every FP3D flexible partial begins with a scan or digitized model. CAD design ensures predictable clasp adaptation, smooth tissue surfaces, and precise borders.
Carbon FP3D material
The printed flexible resin provides a blend of soft-tissue friendliness, stain resistance, and consistent flex behavior without the processing variability of injection systems.
Designed for comfort
Clasps, border transitions, and intaglio surfaces are optimized digitally, then lightly finished by hand to minimize sore spots and help patients adapt quickly.
Superior replacement capability
Because the process is digital, we can quickly reprint replacements or backup appliances without requiring a new impression (unless tissue changes).
Stain-, odor-, and warp-resistant
Patients experience long-term comfort and esthetics with less discoloration than older generations of flexible materials.

FAQ
Are FP3D flexible partials durable?
Yes. Carbon’s material provides controlled flexibility with excellent daily-wear strength when case selection is appropriate.
Can they be repaired or relined?
Some limited repairs are possible. However, digital duplication allows rapid, low-cost remakes that often outperform traditional repairs.
Can I send scans instead of impressions?
Absolutely. This product is designed specifically for digital intake.
How do they look esthetically?
The translucent pink material blends beautifully with tissue, and the lack of metal clasps makes it a strong esthetic option—especially in the anterior.
Do you offer try-ins?
Yes. Printed try-ins are available for esthetic and occlusal validation.
What’s the difference between Y3, Y4, and Y5?
